The Future of Your Park District

Through a variety of key community engagement programs over the past decade, the community has shared what they see as the most important needs at the Lemont Park District. Some highlighted findings included: a downtown park, walking paths, CORE fitness programming, community events, aquatics, and improved service areas based on new developments. More pickleball courts and a new splash pad have also been popular requests. To continue to deliver the very best services and meet the community’s desired expectations, four key projects have been identified. To implement these plans, the Lemont Park District is considering placing a funding proposal on the 2024 ballot WITHOUT RAISING TAXES FOR PARK DISTRICT DEBT SERVICE.

Lemont Park District is inviting you, our valued community members, to learn more about proposed enhancements and funding opportunities and provide your thoughts and recommendations. The District will be hosting informational open houses and mailing a public opinion survey to all registered voters in the next few weeks. Your participation is greatly appreciated.
