Lemont Park District Preschool Academy

Watch Your Child Grow And Learn With Us…

  • The Lemont Park District Preschool
The Lemont Park District Preschool is a balanced program where your child will grow and learn in a cheerful, nurturing and stimulating an environment that emphasizes a love for learning. We currently offer In-Person and Remote learning at the Preschool Academy.
  • Our Curriculum
Our curriculum focuses on the whole child by providing opportunities for social, emotional and cognitive development along with math, science, arts and physical development in preparation for kindergarten.
  • Our Classrooms
Our classrooms and creative materials encourage interaction to promote your child’s means of expression, creativity, problem-solving and thinking. Rooms have updated layouts to allow for social distancing.
  • Our Goal
The goal of the Lemont Park District Preschool is to create a warm and caring environment to assist children in reaching their fullest learning potential!
  • THANK YOU to the Lemont Park Foundation!
The funds donated by the Lemont Park Foundation enabled the District to purchase mobile, individual desks that will be great for years to come as they can still be put together to have a more social environment once COVID restrictions lift. But yet, they are separate and moveable so staff can adhere to whatever square-foot requirements needed. Storage units to separate supplies, new washable seating squares, and new real-play kitchen units that are easy to clean thoroughly and effectively were also purchased.
  • Here’s what to expect during the In-Person Preschool Academy Experience:
    • All classrooms have a new and updated look and layout allowing social distancing between students.
    • Updated supply list requirements and no sharing of supplies.
    • Smaller class sizes.
    • Staggered start times.
    • Students and staff will be required to wear face coverings in the classroom unless permitted by updated state and federal guidelines.
    • Various scheduled hand-washing will be part of each day.
  • Here’s what to expect during the Remote Preschool Academy Experience:
    • Full remote learning is an at-home/online combination program where students will receive teacher interaction along with posted activities via Google Classroom.
    • Posted activities can be done with your child on their assigned day of school or at your leisure.
    • All students receive an initial “Start-Up Kit” and various “To-Go Kits” providing various Elearning support tools.
    • All students receive a separate Welcome Letter from their teachers in their “To-Go Kit” along with information on how to contact your child’s teacher via email anytime.
  • Be Safe Together
The Lemont Park District will continue to monitor and follow the Restore Illinois plan guidelines and mandates. Currently, in-person programming is permitted in Phase 4. Coinciding with The Restore Illinois plan, the Lemont Park District has worked diligently in developing the “Be Safe Together” strategy of operations. The key elements of this strategy include practicing social distancing, wearing face coverings at all times, washing hands thoroughly and often and asking people to stay home when feeling unwell. If guidelines and/or plans change regarding in-person learning, we will inform you as soon as possible The Kindergarten Enrichment program, which is facilitated inline with School District 113a’s Kindergarten program, will follow the School District’s operational plan.
